Flowers

One of the many projects undertaken during Covid, I aimed to capture the complexity and beauty of flowers. I was particularly fascinated by the Fibonacci Sequence and how it occurred in flowers and other parts of nature. Some experimentation here with M42 lenses, so sometimes the EXIF is missing. Alium

An early flower picture shot with my Canon R using a macro lens which gives subject separation and creamy bokeh.

An Orchid Blossom again shot with a Macro lens on an A-PSC camera and Macro Lens.

A B&W conversion shot with a tele lens.

Rose with Water Droplets

Shot to get the droplets in the golden ratio.

Cerastium Blossom

This flower is about 10mm across but the detail you can squeeze from the Macro lens without stacking is pretty impressive.

Giant Daisy

Again getting the droplet in the golden ratio to draw the eye I believe this is shot with "The Holy Hand-Grenade of Antioch", the Helios 40; with a helicoid attached. So the focus is a bit soft as vintage. There is a wonderful star highlight on the water drop.

Peony in B&W

I believe this is shot with the 50mm Takumar Macro, this is my all-time favourite flower shot very sharp with a lovely falloff.

Lily in Profile

Along with the cover photo this is the other flower shot on a medium format camera. You should notice the beautiful colours and falloff of the vintage lens.

Hocus Crocus

A real blast from the past I didn't think I had anything shot with M4/3rds! This is shot with the wonderful Olympus 60mm Macro.
